Controlled Strain Loading One-Dimensional Consolidation Test (ASTM D 4186)
This test determines the magnitude of consolidation of a soil specimen subjected to a controlled axial strain rate while being restrained laterally. This test can be used in place of the Incremental Load Consolidation (IL) test.
