Erb earned his Master of Science in civil engineering, specializing in geotechnical engineering, from The Ohio State University. He is a registered professional engineer in Maryland, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia.
He is an active member of numerous professional organizations including the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Engineers Club of Columbus, the American Concrete Institute, the Portland Cement Association, Flexible Pavement, Inc., the Ohio Ready Mix Concrete Association and The Builder's Exchange.
Erb has over 26 years of experience which includes geotechnical engineering for the Nationwide (National Hockey League) Arena, the Columbus Crew Soccer Stadium, the National Archives Storage Facility, Howard University Hospital, the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial, the Federal Courthouse Building in Cleveland, and The Ohio State University's Larkins Hall, Heart Hospital and Ohio Stadium.
